Introducing Brightwell

Coming this September, a new wine will make its way onto the menu at Burnt Hill Farm.

Brightwell — Vin de Table Blanc, Series No. 001 (2025) is a collaboration between our two sister farms, Old Westminster and Burnt Hill. It brings together Old Westminster Riesling and Albariño, with Chardonnay grown at Burnt Hill.

But Brightwell was never meant to be defined only by what’s in the bottle.

It’s a feeling we know well around here: that first deep breath when you realize you have nowhere else to be. A long afternoon outside. Good conversation around a table. The air feeling just right. Calm, but awake. Carefree, while somehow completely present.

For a moment, everything feels a little brighter and full of possibility.

That feeling is Brightwell.

The wine also represents something larger happening between our two farms. Old Westminster and Burnt Hill are separate places, each with their own soils, landscapes and personalities, but they are connected by the same people and the same approach to farming. We work toward living soils, greater biodiversity and vineyards that become more expressive and resilient with time.

Brightwell gives us a chance to bring those places together in one bottle.

This is Series No. 001, the beginning of something we hope can continue to evolve from vintage to vintage — wines shaped less by rigid rules and more by what our farms give us each year.

Brightwell joins the menu at Burnt Hill Farm on September 4.
